Built on a lowdeadrise modified-V hull, the key feature of the 3870/3888 was her innovative midcabin floorplan with a double berth that extends under the salon sole. A lower helm was standard in the salon, and there's a surprisingly large master stateroom forward.Note that there are two heads in this layout, one with a tub/shower stall. On deck, the cockpit is large enough for a couple of deck chairs, and there's seating for three on the flybridge. About a thousand were built during her production years, a truly remarkable figure for a boat this size.This particular 3870 has a hard top over the cockpit which also adds to the outdoor living space. Seller states that this well cared for Bayliner 3870 is in Pristine condition and he has all maintenance records. The last maintenance was performed in August of 2014 with the replacement of all oils and filters including engine, oil, transmission etc.
Update as of August 2015, the boat has not been taken out of the slip during the summer, But the seller spent a month aboard her and made sure she's being well maintained. He also replaced the saltwater pump on the generator.
